It is Kate Spain, Canyon.
I love HSTs and had been looking at a pattern that did something more than just line up the HSTs. I decided on The Summertime Herringbone Quilt by Michael Ann Made.
The pattern calls for 6 1/2 yards, so I did 12 fatquarters. Here are the ones I picked
Now that I have them all trimmed I started to layout the top. Of course, I had to try out straight up HSTs, as well as a few other patterns.
Not sure which I like best. I'm going to think on it for a day or so, than go for it.
If you have a preference, let me know. Thanks!
Beautiful! I'm sure you will love whichever one you choose!

DeleteOne of my favorite fabric lines! Your blocks are gorgeous regardless of layout! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Laurel. I appreciate you stopping by.
Deletei lurve those chevrons!!!
ReplyDeletejust thinking about untying the twill tape or ribbon on a fat quarter bundle makes me gasp for air - you're very, very brave...
Thanks Dianne. I am doing the chevron, but am running into issues with the machine sewing through so many layers, it goes off the 1/4" seam. So need to work out that detail.
DeleteThis fabric is gorgeous! I think I like the diamond layout best :)
ReplyDeleteThe diamond ended up being my second choice. Maybe for the next group of fabric out of this Canyon Bundle.
DeleteI like the Chevrons best. Love the fabrics. Blessings, gretchen
ReplyDeleteThanks Gretchen. Working on the Chevron pattern now. Just having a bump in progress as I try to figure out how to smoothly piece together the rows. Having a slight machine issue, it doesn't want to go over all the seams.
DeleteChevrons first and diamonds second. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bev. Those were my choices too.
ReplyDeleteIf my math is right you will actually need 26 fat quarters for 6.5 yards. Unless your other 3.5 yards is the write background.
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather, you are right my other fabric is the white background.
